From this year we will organize Kitesurfing cruises (we call them Kite Safari) starting from Sharm el Sheik (Sinai Peninsula) and not only from the usual starting point of Hurghada.
Many kiters infact need to fly to Sharm, and Sharm and Hurghada are terribly connected (20h driving or an extra flight, and there is no ferry as it used to be). That’s why we have decided to have organized, for private groups only, a special kite cruise starting and arriving in Sharm El Sheik.
Our kite cruise are All Inclusive – that means accommodation, food, drinks and transfers to and from the airport.
Transfers from airport to boat and back. If you want to spend some extra nights in Sharm before or after the trip, let us know and we will help you out
Accommodation in a double room (two separate beds or suite, according to availabilities) with air-condition, private toilet and shower
Kitesurfing Lessons
Soft drinks, fruit and snacks
3 meals per day cooked by our chefs
Wakeboarding, Snorkeling, and Stand Up Paddle board
Egyptian Visa (25$ or €) to be paid at the airport
Tips for the crew (50€)
Alcoholic beverages (can be purchased on board), but feel free to bring your own
Marine Park Fee (70€)
Kite Rental (if you don’t have your kite gear, you can rent on board a set of 3 kites, a board and an harness for 250€ for the full week)
This is how one of our kitesurfing day on board looks like:
6:00 – Wake up
A coffee, a snack and we are ready to head to the beach for the first kitesurfing session of the day. This one, as every other kitesurfing session, is of course optional – if you want to sleep in, you can. We will head back to the boat at 8am for Breakfast
|
8:00-9:00 – Breakfast
|
9:30-12:30 – Morning session
We will return to the beach for more kiting: the second session is also when our students will start getting trained. We will kite till lunch, on the boat
|
12:30-13:30 – Lunch
|
14:30-17:30 – Afternoon session
Like in the morning, we are back in the afternoon for the last session of the day
|
17:30-19:30 – Relax
A shower and bit of relax before dinner, some music and a drink are always welcome
|
19:30- 20:30 – Dinner
After dinner, we can have a few more drinks on the main deck, or just chill and listen to music. Some nights are longer than others, and some nights we head to bed pretty early, to rest in preparation for the day after
DAY 1 – You will arrive in Sharm el Sheik international airport and get with our transfer to the boat, where you will meet the rest of the team and your fellow kiters. Dinner is on board, a few drinks and a good sleep, ready to departure the day after.
DAY 2 – We will leave early in the morning heading to the Red Sea: our first stop is Asharafi Islands, with its lagoon and its wild landscape. We will kite in Ashrafi all day, and sleep on the boat there.
DAY 3 – We will be kiting again in Ashrafi all day, starting with an early morning session, and sleep there.
DAY 4 – Downwinder day – We will head towards Geisum for a 90mins easy downwinder. We will arrive in Geisum and kite there all day. We will be sleeping in Geisum.
DAY 5 – All day kiting in Geisum, with a cross-winder to visit another spot in Geisum East.
DAY 6 – It’s downwinder day part 2! We will kite in the early morning to Tawila island or to Paradise Island, a good 3h downwind, not too hard, but not too easy. We will be kiting in Tawila for the rest of the day and sleep there.
DAY 7 – Last kiting day, we will move for our long road back to Sharm when the captain is ready, as we need to be back to part before sunset. Last night we will be sleeping in the marina, and maybe we will decide to have dinner in Sharm.
DAY 8 – Time to say goodbye! After breakfast we will leave the boat. We will transfer you to the airport/hotel according to your plan, and hope to see you on board next year!
IMPORTANT: we do our best to follow this route, but the wind forecast, the weather and the level of the group are all factors that may change our plan. We will always choose the best course of action for the day.
In case of low wind, we will be wakeboarding, stand up paddle and snorkeling – wind is not guaranteed, but it is indeed very probable (especially in the middle of the Red Sea, where the wind is generally stronger).
Strapless rider and the original founder of Sick Dog, Roberto loves walking his dog in the desert and repairing kites.
IKO certified Instructor and Yoga teacher, she will be on board to take care of you on and off the water.
