Kitesurfing Cruises in Egypt: The Ultimate Way to Experience the Best Kitesurfing Spots
Egypt is a paradise for kitesurfers, there is really no doubt about it. 2022 it was a great year, as we were blessed with awesome conditions, great winds and warm waters, from April till the very end of November. That’s why, with our kitesurfing cruises, we kept on adding trips till the end of November: everyone wanted to join us in this one in a lifetime kitesurfing adventure.
It is of course possible to kitesurf in Egypt on a traditional beach holiday, but it’s different, and there are a few reasons why a kite cruise in Egypt is better than a classic Kite holiday in Egypt in a hotel for example.
- More wind: in the middle of the Red Sea, where we go kiting, we will find better conditions than at land. Guaranteed 2/3 knots more than at land. This happens because the wind gets channeled from the suez channel right in the middle of the Red Sea first, and then to the coast. So a marginal windy day in the coast in Egypt can be a great kiting day in a kite safari cruise.
- More kiting: we kite a lot in a kitesurfing cruise, cause it is the main activity on the boat. Keep in mind, the boat is great, but we try to stay on the water as much as possible. So it’s an intensive week, days are long, since we start early and finish at sunset.
- It’s easy: you live on a boat right at the kite spot, all you have to do is wake up, get a coffee and you are ready to go.
- It’s fun: you will meet a lot of kiters from all over the world. And we all share the same passion, kitesurfing, the sport we love.

I love kitesurfing, travelling, and making short walks with my dog. I organize kite cruises in Egypt since 2014, you may find me in some windy beach pretty much all year round when I’m not on the boat, may it be Egypt, Cape Verde, Mauritius or Greece. I drink red wine and play (badly) the guitar.
Hope to see you on board one of these days!
