Firstly what is a kite safari?
You may be a veteran of kiting or just brand new to the sport, but many people have never heard of it. A kite safari in short, is a kitesurfing cruise, a week spent on a boat with a group of fellow kiters who also really love (or have not figured out that they love yet), kitesurfing. You wake up in the morning, you kite. You eat breakfast, you kite. You eat lunch, you kite. You eat dinner and then it’s up to you! Probably you pass out, but not before having a well deserved dinner and a few drinks on our bar deck on board. You have a lot of freedom in what you do with your holiday time on our trips, but this is an intensive kitesurfing week, so come prepared! With us you have the option to kite as much as you want and chill as much as you want so long as the wind permits. Pretty much the only thing that’s more or less set in stone is the time of our meals, some things we like to keep consistent .
If you want to know more about our safari’s, more of a day to day breakdown kind of thing, you can find that here, in our Kite Safari page. For even more about our safari’s contact us directly at: info@sickdogsurf.com or whatsapp at +201009410388.
We do kite safaris pretty much all year round, the dates published at the beginning of this article are trips that we have confirmed and still have space on, but we are also open to suggestions for times that suit you. The cost of the week starts from 980€ per person, and the cost of the safari does not cover rental gear you may need or alcohol you may consume (wise to BYOB if you enjoy a stiff drink. Beer and wine purchasable onboard). However, lessons are included which is a rare find.
We hope to see you on board soon!
I love kitesurfing, travelling, and making short walks with my dog. I organize kite cruises in Egypt since 2014, you may find me in some windy beach pretty much all year round when I’m not on the boat, may it be Egypt, Cape Verde, Mauritius or Greece. I drink red wine and play (badly) the guitar. You can contact me at +201009410388 (whatsapp or calls) or just email me at info@sickdogsurf.com
Hope to see you on board one of these days!
