Imagine your kitesurfing holidays on a luxury yacht, cruising the Red Sea looking for the best islands and winds while staying on a boat by the kite spot, with all the comforts of an hotel. Kite and after kiting rest on board. Pristine warm waters, constant wind, perfect conditions to learn and improve your kiting. And not wetsuit needed (at least in May). This is a kitesurfing cruise (we call kite safari cause we move from spot to spot, using the yacht as a moving hotel.).
All you have to do is to arrive at the airport of Hurghada, Egypt, and we will take care of everything else. This is an all inclusive trips, and lessons are included in the price of the cruise. This means that we will be training full beginners and intermediates/advanced included in the price of the kitesurfing cruise. Kitesurfing is an expensive trip. and we want to make it reasonably affordable for anyone, especially for the ones that are new to the sport.
Our boat this May will be New Regency. This yacht has 11 cabins with twin beds and an extra cabin for our team: so 22 kiters ready for a kitesurfing adventure. There is a lower deck with cabins, a main deck to store and prepare our kite gear, an upper deck for chilling, party, music, a restaurant and a solarium. All cabins have air-condition and a private toilet with shower. And of course the boats come fully equipped with sailors, a chef, a captain and 2 small rescue boats to make sure that if any kiter is in trouble we are ready to help. We will not launch from the boat: the rescue boats will move us to the beaches of the Red Sea, where we will pump our kites, setup our lines, and get ready for a lot of kiting.
DAY 1 – Arrival day – our team will pick you up at the airport and go with you to the boat: on board you will meet the rest of the team and the other kiters. Dinner will be on board at 8pm or in town, if we feel adventurous. The first night is in the marina, ready to depart early the morning after.
DAY 2 The yacht will leave at 7am, to our first spot of the week. The first spot will depends on the various wind condition that we find at sea that day. As soon as we arrive on the spot, we will be kiting till sunset, with a break for lunch.
DAY 3 – 6 We will be kiting in different spots, with an early morning session before breakfast for the kiters that are ready to spend as much hours as possible on the water, a session after breakfast and one after lunch, till the sun goes down.
DAY 7 – This is the last day at sea – we will be kiting till lunch and then head to the marina. We will have our last dinner on board or go to El Gouna or Hurghada if we still have the energy for it! We will be sleeping on board.
DAY 8 – Time to leave the boat! Depending on your plans and flights, we will take you to the airport or to an hotel to continue your holidays. If you have a late flight, we also can go kite on our last day to our favorite kite spot, Makani Beach Club.
IMPORTANT: The route above is just an example of a kitesurfing cruise: we will choose the best kitesurfing spot for any specific day according to the wind forecast and to the needs of the group. We will always do our best to plan the best route possible, to make sure we spend as much time as possible kitesurfing. In case of low/no wind, we will go snorkeling, wakeboarding, stand up paddleing or just chilling in some beautiful beaches of the Red Sea.
This kitesurfing week we will raise money for our friends at k-9angels.org – we will make a donation box and we will collect money from all our kiters on board. K-9angels is a british shelter involved in rehoming and helping dogs all over the world. Please visit their website here to get more info, and click on the below button to donate. Our goal on board is to reach 400€ in donations – that would be 20€ per kiter.
At the end of the week, we will do a lottery – every kiter that donated will have a chance of winning a Sick Dog goodie bag, containing a Sick Dog Hat, Shirt and Hoodie, to be stylish on and off the water.
Every year we are trying to do more fundraisers – it doesn’t cost much to make a difference.
