OUR YACHT
Captain Sparrow is one of the most popular boat in the Red Sea. This luxury yacht can host up to 28 kiters and 3 extra guides, with 3 decks for relaxing, music, have a drink in good company, and as a plus a solarium, a sauna and a jacuzzi. it has 14 cabins, with 2 master suites – all cabins with private toilets and with air-condition.
THE PROGRAM*
SATURDAY: You willl arrive on the boat on Saturday, to meet with the team and the rest of the kiters. You can come anytime you want after midday, and you have all night to arrive on board (since the boat will leave the marina in the early morning on Sunday). You will have dinner on board and get in your cabin for a relaxing first night.
SUNDAY: Capt Sparrow will leave the marina while we are still sleeping, early morning direction Nord. The team will decide the first spot of the week, depending on the wind conditions: normally we head to Geisum South, one of our favorite kite spots. It’s the first day – perfect day to warm up, test the gear, and learn what is like to be on a kite safari. We will have lunch and dinner in Geisum, and sleep on the spot.
MONDAY: We will be kiting in South Geisum for the whole day, 2/3 sessions per day, with a break for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
TUESDAY: Before breakfast we will move up north to Ashrafi – a massive lagoon and a small beach for the intermediates/advanced that want to experience riding in Egypt in Side shore conditions (most spots during our kite safari are off shore spots). We will kite in Ashrafi all day.
WEDNESDAY: It’s another kiting day. We will have a session before breakfast, and as usual morning and afternoon session.
THURSDAY: Downwinder day, direction Geisum Marina or Tawila, depending on the forecast. 2h downwinder, with 2 rescue boats ready to help any kiter that may be in trouble. On arrival, we will all kite in the new spot.
FRIDAY: Last kiting day, we will wake up early and enjoy the day till a late lunch – during lunch we will move back towards the marina, where we will arrive at 5pm. We will have dinner on board and start saying our first goodbyes.
SATURDAY: Hope to see you next time! According to your flights and holiday plans, you will have organized a transfer to the airport or to an hotel (if you decide to continue our holiday in Egypt).
*NOTE: the plan is subject to change due to wind conditions. We expect good winds, but we will have other activities planned in case of low wind: wingfoiling, stand up paddle board, wakeboarding and snorkeling. The route itself of the week could also change, depending on the forecast, on the level of the group and more in general on the situation we may find at sea.

- Egyptian Visa (25$/€) to be paid at the airport
- Tips for the egyptian crew of the boat (normally you need to calculate an extra 70€ in total per kiter)
- Alcoholic beverages (can be purchased on board)
- Marine Park Fee – 90€ per kiter
- Tawila Fee – an extra USD per day per kiter, if we decide to go kite in the iconic kitesurfing spot of Tawila
OUR TEAM
MERY FRACKOWIAK
Mery is a becoming an important part of our Team – she is in charge of our boat and of all the videos, pictures, social media of the kite safari. She is a great kitesurfer, born in Poland and a world traveller.
VANJA CERIC
Vanni is our crazy, fun and most experienced kite instructor on board. At night he becomes our DJ and Musician, showing that he also skills on and off the water. He is a fully versatile member of our team and he will be training advanced and intermediates.
ROBERTO PRIMI
In charge of pretty much everything, strapless rider and one of the original members of the very first Sick Dog Team, Roberto will be in charge of beach and kite activities, and a good help on the beach.
LILLY RICHARDSON
Originally from the UK, Lilly is an IKO certified kite instructor and a Yoga teacher. She will train full beginners on the beach and make sure that our tired bodies are rebalanced off the water.
