Family friendly kite spot in Egypt?

There are many kite spots family friendly in Egypt, especially the ones located in the most touristic destination of the Red Sea. El Gouna with his beach clubs, like Makani or Kite Power, is a great example of a safe environment where kids can have fun on the beach while parents can kitesurf. There is a volleyball field and a lot of space for kids to play on the beach. And of course El Gouna offers great hotels and accommodations. A weekly Kite Safari in Egypt also offers great kite spots for families – this kind of holiday is an All Inclusive one (so no need to cook or to clean up) and our yacht can have your kids entertained or kids can come on the beach while parents kite. All kite safari spots are islands with shallow water, so absolutely safe and no kids will be lost, and the yacht is modern and fully equipped for families, like an hotel.

WHICH KITE SPOTS TO AVOID FOR FAMILIES

Avoid kite spots that have not the right facilities – they may be cheaper, but I can’t recommend them. Avoid Hurghada (a bit dirty), Safaga (too remote and not enough quality) and Soma Bay (too chaotic, especially in Surfmotion kite school). Avoid also adult focused kite spots like Casa Cook in El Gouna – great kite spot, but the hotel is very expensive and has the wrong vibe for a kid.

COSTS OF A KITE SAFARI VS COST OF A KITE HOLIDAY AT LAND

When you travel with your family, budget is important. There are 3 elements to consider while choosing if it’s better a kite safari or a standard kitesurfing holiday in a hotel for your family.

  1. How big is your family? For a family a kite holiday will be expensive, both at land than at sea. Keep in mind – Kids don’t pay for a kite safari if they don’t need their own bed – if two kids can share a bed for example, they will pay half price, is that simple. Said that, we know that a kite safari can be expensive, that’s why we offer family discount – just contact us and let me know your needs.
  2. Keep the costs under control. In a kite safari, the costs are clear from day 1, and won’t change cause it’s an All Inclusive holiday. In a standard kite holiday, you have to pay for lunch and dinners, extra activities, shopping, and the budget could skyrocket.
  3. The value of doing nothing. A kite safari is organized from A to Z – once you are on board, you don’t have to cook, clean, get a taxi, etc etc. , all you need is at your fingertips. After all, it’s a holiday, right?

WHAT A FAMILY SHOULD BRING TO A KITE HOLIDAY IN EGYPT

Always remember to bring sun protection and a cap for your kids – the sun is strong and won’t forgive, especially in the water.

Bring mosquito repellent – if you stay at land is a must. During our kite safari instead there are no insects, so you can leave the mosquito repellent at home.

Bring some games – a kite holiday in Egypt needs some family friendly evening entertainments, and sometimes other grown ups can join in. We have for this reason many board games in our kite safari yacht.
